Lumping food & beverage service with other misc. info. may give you some hint as to where we stand on these two items. On most cruise ships, it would seem that the raison d'etre of the cruise is to partake of as many gargantuan, haute cuisine meals as is humanly possible.
Similarly, albeit at the other end of the size scale, many day cruises are basically "booze croozes". The object of these tours is apparently to consume as much cheap liquor as is humanly possible - while being pounded by "music" at as high a decibel level as is humanly survivable.
Neither of the above is the design focus of our cruises. This is not to say that we are promoting a health cruise - featuring small servings of bean sprouts, raw vegetable and water. We do, nonetheless have every expectation that most of our guests will leave us feeling significantly fitter than when they arrived.
In regard to food service, we will be offering tasty and diverse meals (naturally featuring fresh seafood) . We make no claims to having five star chefs in our employ, but you can be assured of having some excellent, and sometimes surprising dishes - with a Caribbean and Venezuelan accent. Naturally, our guests are welcome to contribute their culinary skills to the overall effort.
Between meal snacks, of every description, will be available 24 / 7 and will include a wide variety of fresh fruit - among them, some perhaps quite exotic tropical varieties. English afternoon tea wil also be part of the food service.
Beverages will also be available 24 / 7 and will include a wide variety of non alcoholic beverages - including a variety of fresh fruit juices. As to "cheap liquor" we will not be stocking any. We will be stocking sufficient quantities of halfway decent beer, wine, liquors and spirits. However, you may find us to be a bit light on Dom Perignon, Chateau neuf de pap or Johnny Walker Black Label.
Those who consider the latter items "essential survival rations" should stock up on the same (duty free in) in Margarita - before boarding Grand Illusion.

Outdoor activities are discussed on the Caribben Eco Adventure web site - linked below. There will also be many "indoor" activities available for lazy afternoons, tranquil evenings and the few occasional rainy hours. A wide selection of board games, and a small but appropriate library of books, magazines and dvds will help fill some of these laid back hours.
Naturally on most of our "desert island " Destinations, fresh water is a very valuable commodity. Grand Illusion will have a water maker, but it's capacity is limited. It is important then that everyone contributes to the effort to conserve fresh water.
We are by no means suggesting the creation of an unpleasant personal hygene situation. There is an unlimited supply of salt water which, with the correct soaps shampoos and detergents, is perfectly suitable for serving in every aspect of cleaning. The function of our limited fresh water supply then become simply that of rinsing off any remaining salt water - whether from the dinner dishes, the fishing reels, or from oneself. We will have more than enough fresh water to cover this usage.
In regard to other more personal aspects of personal hygiene, there will be 2 heads (toilets) on Grand Illusion, with holding tanks - to avoid any unpleasant surprises, while swimming in close proximity. We will also be setting up a number of temporary toilet facilities at the beach - in compliance with the best current thinking re environmentaly sound practices.

There are frequent scheduled flights from many major hubs to Caracas Venezuela and Port of Spain Trinidad. There are frequent scheduled connecting flights (about a 40 minute flight) from both of these cities to Margarita. There are also many Charter companies offering direct flights to Margarita from many different international hubs
